Economic ties with Belarus viewed as important for Kyrgyzstan

MINSK, 13 November (BelTA) - It is important for Kyrgyzstan to develop economic ties with Belarus, Ambassador of Kyrgyzstan to Belarus Ermek Ibraimov said at the meeting of the Young Diplomat Youth Club at the House of Friendship in Minsk, BelTA has learned.

The main theme of the meeting was the 75th anniversary of Kyrgyz diplomacy. The young diplomats gave a presentation on the main milestones of the country's development, its beauty and landmarks. The participants of the meeting - students of Minsk's universities and schoolchildren – laid out their vision of Kyrgyzstan.

In his speech the head of the diplomatic mission spoke about the history of his country and its participation in international organizations. He zeroed in on the Belarusian-Kyrgyz relations, including the historical component of cooperation. Back in Soviet times, Belarus and Kyrgyzstan had friendly ties, maintained economic cooperation.

The young people asked the ambassador the questions about different aspects of Kyrgyzstan's development, spiritual values of the people, conditions for higher education, relations with neighboring states. The young men and women demonstrated their knowledge of the country in a blitz quiz.
