MINSK, 12 January (BelTA) – The tasks set by the presidents of Belarus and Venezuela will be fulfilled in full, Belarus' Deputy Prime Minister Viktor Karankevich said, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian government.
Viktor Karankevich noted that on behalf of Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko, a Belarusian delegation took part in the ceremony of inauguration of Nicolás Maduro as President of Venezuela on 10 January. “We are confident that the Venezuelan people made a choice in favor of building a strong, powerful, independent, and prosperous state,” Viktor Karankevich emphasized.
He added that the delegation met with Venezuela's Vice President - Minister of Planning Ricardo Menéndez on 11 January on the instructions of the heads of state. The parties reviewed the main areas of bilateral cooperation.
“The tasks and agreements that were discussed by the two presidents, and the things we have discussed today, will definitely be implemented in full,” assured Viktor Karankevich.
