MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) - The CSTO defines for the West that red line that cannot be crossed, CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas said in an interview to Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.
“Membership in the organization is not a guarantee of protection from economic pressure, sanctions. Some NATO member states are also subject to sanctions by other Western countries. At the same time, in my opinion, the CSTO in this situation defines that red line which cannot be crossed. This is a deterrent measure our organization implements,” Stanislav Zas said.
According to the secretary general, there are certain limits in this confrontation, including information, political, and economic ones which cannot be crossed. “Because we are already talking about military threats or, say, threats to the existence of the state in general,” he added.
