CIS to review preparations for high-level meetings on 29 March

MINSK, 25 March (BelTA) – The CIS headquarters will host a joint meeting of the CIS Council of Permanent Plenipotentiary Representatives and the Commission on Economic Affairs at the CIS Economic Council on 29 March. The event will be held via videoconferencing, BelTA learned from the press service of the CIS Executive Committee.

The meeting is set to discuss a draft agenda of the meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government scheduled in Minsk on 28 May and to discuss the status of preparations for the next meeting of the CIS Ministerial Council due in Moscow on 2 April.

The CIS plenipotentiary representatives and Commission on Economic Affairs will review the performance of the CIS industry cooperation bodies in 2020 and will hear a report on the activities of the CIS Regional Communications Association and the Coordinating Council on Informatization at the CIS Regional Communications Association.

The meeting is also scheduled to review the 2021-2022 plan of measures to execute the memorandum of deepening cooperation between the CIS Executive Committee and the Eurasian Economic Commission of 27 November 2018. It is expected that the meeting will approve the roadmap to implement the initiatives voiced by the heads of delegations during the meetings of the CIS Council of Heads of State (18 December 2020) and the CIS Ministerial Council (10 December 2020).
