MINSK, 20 February (BelTA) - The next meeting of the CIS Plenipotentiaries Council will take place in Minsk on 24 February, BelTA learned from the CIS Executive Committee.
The plenipotentiaries are set to discuss issues related to the participation of CIS countries in the 33rd Minsk International Book Fair, the implementation of the roadmap for carrying out initiatives proposed by heads of delegations during meetings of the CIS Heads of State Council, the CIS Heads of Government Council, the CIS Foreign Ministers Council, and the CIS Economic Council regarding cooperation in security. They will also sum up the results of the activities of CIS sectoral cooperation bodies in the security sector in 2025.
Plans are in place to consider proposals for the draft agenda of the upcoming meeting of the CIS Heads of Government Council, the results of implementing the long-term plan for the development of the CIS legal framework for 2023-2025, as well as a similar document intended for the subsequent three-year period.
Approval is expected for the head of the CIS observation mission for Kazakhstanэs national referendum on its new Constitution, scheduled for 15 March 2026.
