MINSK, 3 March (BelTA) – A group of experts convened online on 3 March to finalize and harmonize draft documents on the status of the program of actions to enhance the partnership between the CIS ministries of foreign affairs in 2020 and the relevant resolution of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council, BelTA learned from the CIS Executive Committee.
“Participants of the online meeting harmonized the draft documents and will recommend the CIS Executive Committee to submit it for the next meeting of the CIS Foreign Ministers Council,” the press service said.
The program of actions to enhance the partnership between the CIS ministries of foreign affairs was adopted in October 2019. It provides for specific actions to advance and strengthen cooperation between the CIS member states and their interaction in international organizations, defines mechanisms and cooperation areas related to the major global and regional problems.
The program is meant to improve results of the CIS activities and raise the potential of cooperation in economic and humanitarian affairs between the CIS member states.
