
MINSK, 17 September (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of China to Belarus Zhang Wenchuan on 17 September. During the meeting, the newly appointed head of the Chinese diplomatic mission presented the copies of credentials to Maksim Ryzhenkov, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties exchanged views on the state and prospects of Belarusian-Chinese cooperation, emphasizing its high level and the intensity of contacts between the leaders of the two countries, state bodies, business and scientific communities, and other participants of the bilateral cooperation. The ambassador stressed the active role of Belarus in implementing China's Belt and Road Initiative and in promoting initiatives in global development, global security and global civilization.
Maksim Ryzhenkov wished the ambassador success in his diplomatic work and congratulated the Chinese colleagues on the Mid-Autumn Festival. For his part, Ambassador Zhang Wenchuan congratulated Belarus on the Day of People's Unity.
