Belavia CEO refutes allegations of Belavia transporting migrants to Minsk via Russia

MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) – Director General of the Belarusian flag carrier Belavia Igor Cherginets has refuted reports that claim the air carrier brings refugees to Minsk via Russia, BelTA has learned.

The executive said: “Today Belavia carries out five flights from Moscow to Minsk from two airports – Sheremetyevo and Domodedovo. I've checked everything: on all the flights from Moscow there are about ten people without Belarusian or Russian passports. They include representatives of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Uzbekistan. And there is only one Iraqi citizen with a diplomatic passport.”

“Claims that illegal migrants fly to Minsk via Moscow do not correspond to the reality,” the Belavia CEO stressed.
