Belarusian, Pakistani foreign ministers discuss situation in Ukraine

MINSK, 15 March (BelTA) – Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei talked to Pakistani Minister of Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi over the phone on 15 March, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

The conversation was arranged upon a request of the Pakistani side. The two ministers discussed the current situation in Ukraine during the phone call. Close attention was paid to looking for a solution to humanitarian problems of the conflict.

The Pakistani minister of foreign affairs thanked the Belarusian side for assistance with organizing the negotiation process for the sake of ending combat operations in Ukraine as soon as possible.

The sides exchanged views on topical aspects of Belarus-Pakistan cooperation, including the invigoration of bilateral contacts and further advancement of economic interaction.
