Belarusian FM to visit Moscow on 17-18 June

MOSCOW, 10 June (BelTA) - Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei will visit Moscow on 17-18 June, spokesperson of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told a briefing for the press, BelTA has learned.

"On 17-18 June, at the invitation of Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Belarusian minister of foreign affairs will pay a working visit to Moscow," Maria Zakharova said.

She said that the foreign ministers of the two countries are set to consider a wide range of topical issues of bilateral cooperation and the international agenda. "Special attention will be paid to joint work in the integration formats of the Union State, the EAEU, the CSTO and the CIS. The ministers will discuss in detail the coordination of approaches in international organizations, including the UN and the OSCE," she added.

"There are also plans to exchange views on the issues of international and European security, the relations with the United States and the European Union, including joint steps to counter interference in the internal affairs of sovereign states," Maria Zakharova said.
