Belarusian ambassador presents credentials to Tanzania's president

MINSK, 26 August (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Republic of Kenya and concurrently to the United Republic of Tanzania Pavel Vzyatkin presented his letters of credence to President of the United Republic of Tanzania Samia Suluhu Hassan, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties reaffirmed mutual interest in the development of Belarusian-Tanzanian cooperation across a wide range of areas. The parties highlighted pharmaceuticals and investments as the most promising areas of cooperaiton.

In addition, the parties noted the importance of developing a political dialogue and a legal framework of bilateral relations between Belarus and Tanzania. The parties noted a significant potential for increasing trade and economic cooperation, including in such areas as agriculture, industry and tourism.
