Belarus, Vietnam seek to bolster political contacts

MINSK, 12 January (BelTA) - Belarus and Vietnam held another round of ministerial consultations in Hanoi, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Belarusian delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Mikalai Barysevich.

The parties exchanged views across the entire range of issues on the bilateral agenda, and expressed a commitment to intensify political contacts, and discussed the interaction in international organizations. “The parties agreed to hold another meeting of the intergovernmental commission on trade and economic cooperation in the near future, and highlighted the need to further strengthen interregional ties," the press service said.

The Belarusian side handed over proposals on ways of improving the legal framework of bilateral relations. Joint projects in education, science, culture and tourism were also touched upon.

The parties also agreed to hold several events to mark the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Belarus and Vietnam.
