
MINSK, 23 May (BelTA) - Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov met with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam to the Republic of Belarus Nguyen Van Ngu on 23 May as the ambassador is completing his diplomatic mission, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties welcomed the significant progress in bilateral relations made over recent years, reflected in increased contacts, including at the highest level, and strengthened economic cooperation.
The meeting discussed the results of the official visit of General Secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam To Lam to Belarus on 11-12 May 2025.
“The parties highlighted the importance of upcoming joint efforts to implement agreements reached during the visit within the framework of the established strategic partnership between Belarus and Vietnam,” the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted. “Maksim Ryzhenkov expressed gratitude to the ambassador for his personal contribution to expanding and strengthening the invariably friendly Belarusian-Vietnamese relations.”
