MINSK, 13 March (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam Vladimir Borovikov held a meeting with Phan Thi Minh Giang, Deputy Director of the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, on 13 March, the Belarusian diplomatic mission in Hanoi told BelTA.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state and prospects of Belarus-Vietnam interaction amid an increasing tourist flow from Belarus.
The parties agreed that expanding the consular district of the Consulate General of Belarus in Ho Chi Minh City will contribute to improving the quality of consular services and intensifying interregional cooperation between the two countries.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Socialist Republic of Vietnam were established on 24 January 1992. Political interaction between the countries, built on traditional relations of friendship, trust, and mutual understanding, is gaining momentum within the framework of the achieved level of Belarus-Vietnam strategic partnership. Dialogue is maintained at the highest level.
