Belarus-Venezuela ministerial consultations held in Caracas

MINSK, 13 June (BelTA) – Another round of Belarus-Venezuela ministerial consultations has taken place in Caracas, BelTA learned from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The Belarusian delegation was led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Evgeny Shestakov, the Venezuelan delegation was headed by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs for Europe Daniela Rodriguez. The diplomats exchanged views on a wide range of issues of the bilateral and international agenda.

The parties also discussed joint efforts to overcome the sanctions of the West, as well as trade and economic cooperation and interaction in information field and within the framework of the UN.

During the visit to Venezuela the Belarusian deputy foreign minister met with Vice President of the Council of Ministers of Planning Ricardo Menendez. The parties took stock of the progress to implement the agreements reached at the 8th meeting of the Belarus-Venezuela high-level commission held in Caracas in December 2021. They reaffirmed commitment to intensify bilateral cooperation.
