Belarus-Uzbekistan relations described as ‘high quality’

TASHKENT, 9 February (BelTA) - Relations between Belarus and Uzbekistan are the relations embossed with a quality mark, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik told reporters commenting on the official talks between Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko and his Uzbek counterpart Shavkat Mirziyoyev, BelTA has learned.

"The very detailed talks between the heads of state confirmed the historic nature of the visit. I can say with confidence that today the relations between Belarus and Uzbekistan and the leaders of our states are the relations embossed with a quality mark," Sergei Aleinik stressed.

He described the talks between the heads of state as a thorough conversation of bilateral cooperation across all areas without exception. As a result, the parties signed a roadmap for the development of cooperation for 2024-2025. Among other things, it provides for industrial cooperation projects and joint high-tech facilities.

The parties also talked about entering the markets of third countries, primarily Afghanistan.

"We will implement all these plans in the near future. We are talking about multi-level strategic cooperation between our countries, which we intend to deepen," the minister said.
