Belarus, Uzbekistan plan to launch innovative biopharmaceutical company

MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) – Belarus and Uzbekistan are planning to set up an innovative biopharmaceutical enterprise, the press service of Belarus' Healthcare Ministry told BelTA following the meeting of Belarus' Healthcare Minister Dmitry Pinevich with Director of the Pharmaceutical Industry Development Agency at the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan Sardor Kariev and the management of Interlek (Russian Federation).

According to the press service, the parties discussed production of plasma-derived medicines and their export.

An agreement was reached to set up a joint venture that will use innovative technologies developed by the National Research Center for Transfusion Medicine and Medical Biotechnology (Belarus). The parties also discussed registration of plasma-derived medicinal products in Belarus and Uzbekistan.
