MINSK, 2 October (BelTA) – The implementation of United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) projects in Belarus and current cooperation issues have been discussed at the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the ministry’s press service told BelTA.
Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Igor Sekreta met with UNFPA Deputy Regional Director for Eastern Europe and Central Asia Klaus Beck, who is in Minsk on a working visit. The two discussed the implementation of UNFPA projects in Belarus and current cooperation issues.
Igor Sekreta briefed participants on the priorities of Belarus’ demographic policy and the measures being implemented to improve the demographic situation. The deputy minister emphasized the importance of tailoring UNFPA’s work to national needs and conveyed interest in deepening collaboration under the forthcoming UNFPA Country Programme for 2026-2030.
