Belarus to attend CSTO PA events on 29 November

MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) – The Belarusian parliamentary delegation led by Chairman of the House of Representatives Vladimir Andreichenko is set to take part in the joint meeting of the Council and the 14th plenary session of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO PA) on 29 November. The events will be held online, BelTA learned from the press service of the House of Representatives.

Vladimir Andreichenko will speak on the standards of democratic elections in the CSTO member states and their protection from foreign interference.

Plans are in place to consider the implementation of the priorities of Tajikistan's presidency in the CSTO in 2021, Armenia's priorities for its CSTO presidency, the results of the September (2021) session of the CSTO Collective Security Council, the situation in the area of responsibility of the organization and measures to counteract challenges and threats to collective security.

The agenda of the meeting will also include a number of draft model laws and recommendations, as well as amendments to the 2021-2025 CSTO PA activity program on the approximation and harmonization of the national legislations of the CSTO member states.
