MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) – The first meeting of the 71st session of the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights was held via videoconference on 15 February. It discussed the seventh regular report of the Republic of Belarus on the implementation of the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik led Belarus' interdepartmental delegation that took part in the videoconference. He presented the country report and informed the participants about the country's achievements in the socio-economic field.
Belarus dialogue on the report with international experts will continue on 16 and 17 February.
