MINSK, 2 November (BelTA) – Belarus' Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Syrian Arab Republic Yuri Sluka met with Syria's Minister of Social Affairs and Labor Salwa Abdallah, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties welcomed the high potential of Belarusian-Syrian relations and noted the need to step up bilateral cooperation between the relevant ministries. Special consideration was given to the issues of recreation and health improvement of Syrian children in Belarus.
Ambassador Yuri Sluka confirmed the interest of the Belarusian side in developing and strengthening cooperation with Syria, including the exchange of visits after the COVID-19 situation normalizes, and noted Belarus' readiness to continue joint humanitarian projects.
