MINSK, 24 November (BelTA) – Belarusian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik met with Dr. Faisal Mekdad, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic, in Damascus on 23 November 2022, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The parties exchanged views on the situation in the region, discussed further steps to implement the agreements reached following the talks between the heads of government of Belarus and Syria.
Special consideration was given to cooperation in politics, trade, economy and humanitarian affairs and the interaction within the framework of international organizations.
