MINSK, 2 December (BelTA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus has issued a statement in connection with the aggravation of the situation in Syria, BelTA has learned from the ministry.
"We express our support to President of the Syrian Arab Republic Bashar al-Assad, the government and people of fraternal Syria in connection with the attacks of terrorist groups in the provinces of Aleppo and Hama. We reaffirm our strong commitment to the sovereignty, independence and territorial integrity of Syria," the ministry said.
Belarus has expressed support for the efforts of Damascus and its allies to stabilize the situation and repel the terrorist threat.
"We resolutely condemn terrorist attacks on consular offices and the civilian population. We hope for the speedy stabilization of the situation, the elimination of the terrorist threat and the return of fraternal Syria to peaceful life," the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement.
