
MINSK, 28 May (BelTA) – Belarusian First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Lukashevich received a Sudanese delegation led by Minister of Energy and Oil Mohieddin Naeem Mohamed Saeed, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the situation in Sudan, topical issues on the international agenda, the status and prospects of the Belarusian-Sudanese cooperation, including the possibility of restarting the joint intergovernmental commission. The Belarusian side reiterated its support for the speedy achievement of peace in Sudan and condemned the attacks on the civilian infrastructure of Port Sudan.
Following the meeting the parties reaffirmed their commitment to promoting the Belarusian-Sudanese relations, exchanging delegations of various levels and developing joint economic projects.
