Like everyone else, we hope for a positive and peaceful resolution of this issue through diplomatic means. We look forward to further developing our parliamentary relations, especially since we have already established friendship groups. There are several areas we can implement a cooperation roadmap between our countries for the next few years,” he emphasized.

Belarus and Iran actively support each other within major international platforms, including BRICS, the SCO, and the Non-Aligned Movement. “We also support Iran’s position against the imposition of foreign policy dictates by other countries, as this undermines sovereignty and interferes in the internal affairs of states,” Igor Sergeyenko said.
He highlighted the importance of strengthening inter-parliamentary ties between the two countries in today’s global context and stressed that Belarus views Iran as an important and reliable partner in advancing joint initiatives to uphold the principles of multilateralism, equality, and mutual respect in international politics.
