MOSCOW, 17 July (BelTA) – A meeting of the permanent seminar under the Parliamentary Assembly of the Belarus-Russia Union State will be held in Smolensk on 18 July. It will focus on a draft strategy to develop the mid-term Union State youth policy, the press service of the Parliamentary Assembly told BelTA.
The event will be attended by members of the Union State Parliamentary Assembly, representatives of the Union State Standing Committee, ministries and government agencies of Belarus and Russia, the government of Smolensk Oblast, experts and heads of youth organizations of the two countries.
The permanent seminar was set up to facilitate integration within the Union State. It was created on the initiative of the Union State parliamentarians in 2006. The format of the event provides for in-depth discussion of the cooperation agenda of Belarus and Russia within the framework of the Union State.
