MINSK, 16 October (BelTA) – Belarus' First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aleksandr Guryanov met with Russia's permanent representative at the statutory and other bodies of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Andrei Grozov, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
“The parties reviewed the situation in the Commonwealth of Independent States, including the challenges the CIS member states are now going through,” the press service informed.
The parties also discussed multilateral cooperation and joint events, including within the framework of Belarus' presidency in the CIS in 2021.
Belarus will preside in the CIS in 2021. Belarus has successfully performed this role several times.
