Belarus, Romania to expand interregional contacts

MINSK, 26 November (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Romania Andrei Grinkevich visited Vrancea County in Eastern Romania, representatives of the Belarusian embassy in Romania told BelTA.

The Belarusian diplomat met with top officials of Vrancea County, the county's capital city of Focsani, and Dumbraveni Commune. He arranged a presentation of Belarus' economic, investment, tourism, scientific, educational, and cultural potential. The entire range of matters concerning future advancement of cooperation with the Republic of Belarus was discussed, including the establishment of interregional ties and the twinning of cities.

Andrei Grinkevich also held negotiations with representatives of the local business circles focusing on promoting Belarusian products and on establishing joint ventures in light industry, woodworking industry, construction industry, agriculture, and tourism industry.
