MINSK, 18 November (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to China Aleksandr Chervyakov met with Zhang Xinzhu, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Municipal Committee of Qingdao, secretary of the party working committee of the China-SCO Local Economic and Trade Cooperation Demonstration Area, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Beijing.
The parties discussed the results of the visit of the Chinese delegation headed by Meng Qingbin, Chairman of the Qingdao Municipal Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, to Belarus, talked over further bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian areas. The parties expressed their intention to develop a relevant action plan.
The China-SCO Demonstration Zone is located in the Jiaozhou Administrative District of Qingdao City, Shandong Province. Its establishment was announced by Chinese President Xi Jinping in July 2018. The main purpose of the zone is to promote the development of trade ties between China and the SCO states. Belarus operates its pavilion on the zone. It is located in the Pearl of the China-SCO Pilot Zone expo center.
