MINSK, 21 June (BelTA) - Belarus proposes to start drafting a new CSTO development strategy, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affaires Sergei Aleinik said at a meeting of the CSTO Foreign Ministers Council in Almaty, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
"Last year, the Belarusian president proposed to start drafting a new CSTO development strategy, since the current strategy, adopted in 2016, expires in 2025," the minister said.

Sergei Aleinik believes: "We need a clear vision of the future goals, objectives and activities of the organization. I believe that there is a need for substantive consultations on this issue."
