Belarus, Pakistan to hold ministerial consultations

MINSK, 15 November (BelTA) – Political consultations at the level of the deputy ministers of foreign affairs of Belarus and Pakistan will be held in Islamabad in late November. The parties will talk over ways to intensify cooperation between the two countries. The corresponding agreement was reached during the meeting between Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Pakistan Andrei Yermolovich and Pakistan's Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Aman Rashid, BelTA learned from the Belarusian diplomatic mission.

The parties discussed the state and prospects for further development of the Belarusian-Pakistani relations taking into account the agreements reached at the highest level. “The sides emphasized mutual interest in intensifying institutional mechanisms of bilateral cooperation, with a view to considerably increase mutual trade, first of all of the joint Belarus-Pakistan commission on trade and economic cooperation and working groups on agriculture and industrial cooperation,” the embassy said. The parties also talked over involvement of Belarusian and Pakistani business in trace, economic and investment cooperation.
