Belarus, Pakistan reaffirm commitment to expanding bilateral cooperation

MINSK, 13 April (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Andrei Metelitsa met with Additional Secretary (Trade Diplomacy) of the Ministry of Commerce of Pakistan Syed Hamid Ali on 13 April, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

“The parties exchanged views on the state of Belarus-Pakistan relations in the bilateral format and within the framework of international organizations. The sides confirmed mutual interest in expanding Belarus-Pakistan cooperation across multiple areas,” the foreign ministry noted.

A reminder, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimir Makei talked to Pakistani Minister of Foreign Affairs Shah Mahmood Qureshi over the phone in March. The diplomats exchanged views on topical aspects of Belarus-Pakistan cooperation, including the invigoration of bilateral contacts and further advancement of economic interaction.
