
MINSK, 26 September (BelTA) – Belarus and Sudan have discussed the prospects of restoring comprehensive cooperation in key areas during the meeting between Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maksim Ryzhenkov and Sudan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Muhi al-Din Salem in New York, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
The foreign ministers expressed readiness to intensify the bilateral dialogue at all levels, including interaction between the relevant ministries.
“Belarus confirmed its support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Sudan. The prospects for restoring comprehensive cooperation in key areas such as food security, industry, energy, education, and healthcare were discussed,” the press service said.
Maxim Ryzhenkov stated Belarus’ readiness to assist in the country’s post-conflict recovery, including the supply of industrial and agricultural products, the utilization of Belarusian technological potential, and the strengthening of cooperation ties.
On the sidelines of the 80th session of the UN General Assembly, the Belarusian foreign minister also held a meeting with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic Hugo Rivera Fernández. They discussed prospects for the development of bilateral relations, food security issues, and tourism cooperation, particularly for Belarusian citizens in the Dominican Republic.
During the conversation with Uzbekistan’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Bakhtiyor Saidov, the entire spectrum of relations between the countries was discussed, including interaction in international organizations.
