MINSK, 6 June (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus Anatoly Buben met with State Secretary of the Moldovan Ministry of Foreign Affairs Sergiu Mihov at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Moldova, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Moldova.
The parties discussed promising areas of Belarusian-Moldovan cooperation. The main emphasis was placed on the need to strengthen bilateral trade and economic interaction. The parties stressed mutual interest in intensifying business ties between the two states. Here, the parties emphasized the leading role of the intergovernmental Belarusian-Moldovan commission for trade and economic cooperation.
Anatoly Buben reaffirmed Belarus’ openness to the resumption of active economic interaction with Moldova. In addition, the head of the diplomatic mission thanked Moldova, represented by the Agency for Interethnic Relations, for supporting public organizations of Belarusians in Moldova, whose main activities are aimed at promoting the Belarusian language, culture, and national traditions of our country.
The parties also confirmed their intention to continue the pragmatic bilateral dialogue that meets the interests of the peoples of Belarus and Moldova.
