MINSK, 17 June (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Kuwait (non-resident) Igor Bely paid a working visit to Kuwait City on 15-16 June, during which he held meetings with representatives of the Kuwait Ministry of Foreign Affairs and business circles, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
During a meeting with Foreign Minister Assistant for Europe Affairs of Kuwait, Ambassador Sadiq Marafi, the parties agreed on a list of joint events to enhance Belarus-Kuwait cooperation. Special attention was paid to political engagement.
During talks with Assistant Director General of the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry Imad Al-Zaid, the parties discussed expanding ties between the enterprises of the two countries, including organizing a joint business forum and the participation of Kuwaiti business circles in Belarusian exhibitions.
Negotiations with Acting Deputy Director General for Investment of the Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development Rashaid Ali Al-Bader resulted in an agreement to broaden investment cooperation between Belarus and the organization.
The parties outlined specific steps for the practical implementation of investment projects.
