Belarus keen to step up cooperation with Azerbaijan

MINSK, 19 November (BelTA) – Belarus intends to intensify cooperation with Azerbaijan, newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Azerbaijan Andrei Ravkov told journalists, BelTA has learned.

Azerbaijan has always been a friendly nation for Belarus, the ambassador stressed.

“Azerbaijan is a resource-endowed country and is capable of financing various projects, including joint ones,” Andrei Ravkov pointed out. He noted that Belarus and Azerbaijan have a long history of effective cooperation, especially in trade and economy. The development of bilateral relations in various areas is important for both the countries. Increasing export of Belarusian products to Azerbaijan is also viewed as a priority, Ambassador Andrei Ravkov added.
