YEREVAN, 19 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Prime Minister Roman Golovchenko held a working meeting with Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Askar Mamin on 19 November, BelTA has learned.
“Our relations are quite vibrant. We look forward to an official visit of the president of Kazakhstan to Belarus in 2022, and I believe that by that time the two countries will have reached good results, especially since our mutual trade trends are good, trade is on the rise, and both Belarusian exports to Kazakhstan and Kazakhstan's exports to Belarus have been increasing. This shows that our foreign trade is balanced,” said Roman Golovchenko.
The prime minister also mentioned cooperation between the two countries in agriculture, discussed the construction of dairy complexes, the development of livestock and industrial cooperation, and also cooperation in the machine-building industry.
Askar Mamin said that Belarus and Kazakhstan need to address urgent issues. “Our heads of state set specific tasks for the comprehensive development of the Kazakh-Belarusian relations, the expansion of cooperation in trade, economy, innovations and science. We are glad to have the opportunity to meet in a bilateral format and discuss all these issues today,” the prime minister of Kazakhstan said.
