MINSK, 3 December (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Türkiye with concurrent accreditation to Iraq Viktor Rybak met with a number of Iraqi ministers during his working trip to Iraq, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The participants of the meeting at the Ministry of Interior of Iraq focused on the development of cooperation between the corresponding agencies of the two countries, expansion of the legal framework and exchange of experience.
The ambassador also met with Iraqi Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research Naim Al-Aboudi to discuss the possibilities of Belarusian-Iraqi cooperation in higher education, professional development and retraining of specialists, as well as the development of contacts between educational institutions of both countries.
Viktor Rybak also held a meeting with Iraqi Minister of Youth and Sports Ahmed al-Mubarqa. “Agreements were reached on further steps to expand cooperation in training athletes and the use of Belarusian sports facilities for this purpose,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
The ambassador invited the Iraqi ministers to visit Belarus to continue contacts with the relevant agencies.
