MOSCOW, 27 January (BelTA) – Belarus' integration initiatives were discussed as Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko met with Chairman of the Board of the Eurasian Economic Commission Mikhail Myasnikovich in Minsk on 27 January, the commission's press service told BelTA.
Roman Golovchenko and Mikhail Myasnikovich reviewed the main results and trends of economic development of the Eurasian Economic Union. Close attention was paid to the mechanisms the Eurasian Economic Commission had suggested for implementing joint programs and projects within the framework of the Eurasian Economic Union for the sake of raising investments and securing the innovation-driven development of EAEU countries.
Topical issues on the Eurasian agenda concerning energy industry, manufacturing cooperation, technical regulation, and digital trade were discussed. Roman Golovchenko and Mikhail Myasnikovich exchanged views on other topics of mutual interest, including those relating to the agenda of the next session of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in February 2022 and Belarus' integration initiatives.
