Belarus informs UN about unacceptability of biased findings of ICAO report on Ryanair incident

MINSK, 16 August (BelTA) – Belarus' Permanent Representative to the UN Valentin Rybakov has met with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, BelTA learned from the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus.

“The Belarusian diplomat informed the UN Secretary-General about the unacceptability of the politically biased findings of the fact-finding investigation report of the Council of the International Civil Aviation Organization into the incident related to the landing of the Ryanair aircraft at the airport in Belarus on 23 May 2021,” the Ministry of Foreign Affairs informed.

Valentin Rybakov handed over to António Guterres an aide-memoire on Belarus' position on this matter.

Valentin Rybakov also raised the issue of the impact of sanctions on international food security.
