MINSK, 19 June (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Indonesia Roman Romanovsky held a meeting with Deputy Minister for Coordination of International Economic Cooperation of Indonesia Edi Prio Pambudi on 18 June, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
The parties discussed prospects for developing trade and economic cooperation between Belarus and Indonesia.
The parties emphasized the importance of finalizing negotiations on the creation of a free trade zone between Indonesia and the Eurasian Economic Union, which Belarus is chairing in 2025.
Diplomatic relations between the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Indonesia were established on 18 June 1993. The Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in Jakarta opened on 22 August 2011.
