Belarus, IAEA to sign 2022-2027 framework cooperation program soon

MINSK, 30 November (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik met with Deputy Director General, Director of the Technical Cooperation Department of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) Hua Liu on 30 November, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.

Sergei Aleinik and Hua Liu noted that the International Atomic Energy Agency's technical cooperation program represents an effective tool for spreading cutting-edge practices, for providing technical and expert support to the countries that peacefully use nuclear technologies. They also stated Belarus' active participation in the program.

Sergei Aleinik thanked the International Atomic Energy Agency for assistance with bolstering the potential of Belarusian healthcare institutions to respond to the pandemic and fight oncological diseases.

An agreement was reached on signing a framework program meant to guide Belarus-IAEA cooperation in 2022-2027 soon.
