MINSK, 11 June (BelTA) - Belarus hopes to join BRICS at the organization's summit in Kazan, Russia, Belarusian Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik said at the BRICS Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod on 11 June, BelTA has learned.
According to the minister, Belarus fully shares the goals and approaches of BRICS to the formation of a new fair, truly multipolar world order.
"Last year, our country applied to join the BRICS family. We are looking forward to the decisions at the upcoming summit in Kazan that will allow our country to gain a new status in the organization," Sergei Aleinik said.
The BRICS summit is due in Kazan, Russia on 22-24. October
