MINSK, 11 July (BelTA) – Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Yuri Ambrazevich met with UN Resident Coordinator in Belarus Rasul Baghirov, the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs told BelTA.
Yuri Ambrazevich and Rasul Baghirov discussed Belarus’ interaction with the United Nations Organization, directions and priorities of UN program work in Belarus. Attention was paid to social and economic development of Belarus and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals within the framework of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The parties exchanged opinions about approaches to the coordination of interaction within the framework of the preparation of the draft Belarus-UN framework program in the area of sustainable development for 2026-2031.
Progress in preparations for Belarus’ participation in the UN Summit of the Future and the High-Level Week during the 79th session of the UN General Assembly in New York was also discussed. An agreement was reached on continuing the advancement of constructive relations between Belarus and the United Nations Organization, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.
