MINSK, 20 June (BelTA) – Belarus’ Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik will take part in a meeting of the Foreign Ministers Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in Almaty, Kazakhstan, on 20-21 June, BelTA learned from the press service of the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The participants of the meeting will discuss international and regional security with a focus on the CSTO area ofresponsibility, the organization’s activities, progress to fulfill Kazakhstan’s CSTO chairmanship plans, as well as preparations for the upcoming session of the Collective Security Council.
The foreign ministers are expected to adopt a number of documents to improve the organization’s activities.
During the meeting, Belarus will present its view on the current security situation in the Eurasian space and ways to strengthen interaction within the CSTO.
