MINSK, 15 February (BelTA) - Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Belarus to the Arab Republic of Egypt Sergey Terentiev met with Minister of Youth and Sports Ashraf Sobhi of Egypt, BelTA learned from the Belarusian embassy in Egypt.
“The parties welcomed closer bilateral cooperation, and also the work to draw up a joint plan of action in 2022 to advance Belarus-Egypt cooperation in youth policy,” the embassy said.
The ambassador hailed the successful conduct of the fourth World Youth Forum held in Sharm el-Sheikh in January 2022.
“The parties also discussed the interaction in sport, including holding joint events in both countries within the framework of the Sports Week of Belarus and Egypt. The main areas are gymnastics, football, chess and sports medicine,” the embassy noted.
