Belarus, Egypt keen to develop joint assembly plants

MINSK, 1 March (BelTA) – Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Belarus to Egypt Sergei Terentiev met with Egypt's Minister of State for Military Production Mohamed Ahmed Morsi on 1 March to discuss the development of economic cooperation at the level of industrial enterprises, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The parties hailed successful cooperation between Belarusian and Egyptian industrial companies in 2020 and expressed readiness to facilitate further development of joint enterprises to assemble Belarusian machinery in Egypt.

Sergei Terentiev and Mohamed Ahmed Morsi also talked about organizing videoconferences for representatives of relevant ministries, other government agencies, and enterprises of the two countries to discuss the plan of action for 2021.
