Belarus' deputy foreign minister holds meetings in Rome

MINSK, 12 January (BelTA) – Belarus' Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Sergei Aleinik met with Benedetto Della Vedova, Undersecretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy, during a visit to Rome, BelTA learned from the Belarusian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The participants of the meeting exchanged views on the most important issues of the Belarusian-Italian political agenda, economic cooperation, humanitarian projects and relations with the European Union.

On the same day Sergei Aleinik held talks with Director General of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations Qu Dongyu. The parties emphasized progress in bilateral cooperation over the recent years. They also discussed the FAO country programming framework in Belarus through 2025, the implementation of the sustainable development goals and ways to secure global food security.
