Belarus' delegation led by Kochanova to visit St. Petersburg for IPA CIS events

MINSK, 17 April (BelTA) – Belarus' parliamentary delegation led by Chairperson of the Council of the Republic Natalya Kochanova will visit St. Petersburg to take part in the meetings of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) to be held on 17 and 18 April, BelTA learned from the press service of the upper house of parliament.

The parliamentary delegation includes Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic Sergei Aleinik and Deputy Chairman of the Standing Commission on International Affairs and National Security of the Council of the Republic Valery Gaidukevich.

On 17 April the Belarusian parliamentarians will take part in the international conference that will discuss legal tools to counter the use of artificial intelligence and new technologies for terrorist purposes. A meeting of the IPA CIS Council is also planned.

The next day, on 18 April, the Belarusian delegation will participate in the 58th plenary session of the CIS IPA and a ceremonial session dedicated to the 80th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945.

A ceremony of canceling the art postage stamp issued jointly by the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus “Cultural and educational project Memory Train” is also on the agenda.
