MINSK, 30 November (BelTA) – Relations between Belarus and Cuba are strong and trust-based, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Cuba to Belarus Santiago Perez Benitez said as he met with Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova in Minsk on 30 November, BelTA has learned.
“Our relations are strong, exemplary, I would say. Our relations are based on trust and has stood the test of time. This is the treasure we must keep. We share the same opinion on many issues of the international agenda. Moreover, Belarus is a brotherly country for me. I am welcomed everywhere with a smile. Such a good, heartfelt attitude. Of course, the attitude of the leaders is of high importance, too,” Santiago Perez Benitez said.
According to him, Belarus is an example for many countries. “We need to study the Belarusian model of development including in the industry, agriculture, social organization, and order in the cities,” the ambassador said.
